Mattie Sheppard is the founder and CEO of Above & Beyond Home Stagers, LLC a licensed, certified, accredited and designated full-service Home Staging company. She has always loved arranging and redesigning spaces to give new life to any dwelling. Repeatedly, her family and friends ask her for advice on redesigning their homes. Mattie is also the owner of Mattie's Travel Agency where she is an accredited cruise counselor with CLIA. She is Certified with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Marriott International, Greater Fort Lauderdale, just to name a few.
Prior to starting her business in February 2020, Mattie was the former owner of an event planning company and worked in the construction industry for over 25 years while residing Buffalo, New York until May 2014. She then moved to New Jersey for a new opportunity in a different sector of the construction industry. In October 2019, she transferred her position to Maine, where she currently works to this day.
Matties’ company provides renovation and repair services, occupied and vacant home staging, redesigning, commercial staging services, staging consultation, de-cluttering, depersonalizing and organizing, and project management. She continues to strive to provide each client with a top notch, stress free experience during their transitional period.
Mattie received her ASP® (Accredited Staging Professional) and Short Term Rental Specialist designations from StagedHomes.com University where she received the highest form of training in the industry and is a member of the IAHSP® (International Accredited Home Staging Professionals) which sets her apart from other home stagers. She received her Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.M.E.) from SUNY Empire State College. She also graduated from the University at Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership's Allstate Minority & Women Emerging Entrepreneurs Program (CEL) in November 2010 where she mentored upcoming entrepreneurs until 2014.
She is married and is a bonus mother of six children and four grandchildren.
